Jose Cayetano De La Rosa (Woodbridge, VA) turned two final tables and nearly $22,000 during the Borgata Spring Poker Open into a free roll for the opening event of the Summer Open.
"I like playing here, I feel comfortable here," says the soft spoken Cayetano De La Rosa, who finished 6th in points during the Spring Leaderboard promotion.
Cayetano De La Rosa's big score in April was a runner-up finish in Event 6 ($560 Black Chip Bounty) for nearly $20,000. It propelled him in the standings and encouraged him to play more events in the series.
"Why not," says Cayetano De La Rosa whose prize was free entry into this $400 event.
Chris Cheung (Millburn, NJ) and Isaac Moussan (Randolph, NJ) are seated on either side of Cayetano De La Rosaand and eager to learn more about the Leaderboard.
"I wish I could play all the events," says Moussan who has three tournaments on his calendar, including Tuesday's $300 Deepest Stack tournament that features 50k in tournament chips. "Maybe if I do well in the beginning (of the series) I'll play more."
Moussan's ears perked up when he heard that the Leaderboard winner in the Summer Open gets a free roll into September's WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship, a $3,500 value.
Here's a look at all the prizes for the top finishers in the Summer Open Leaderboard.
