Pogarsky with a Straight Double-Up

When you hear, "that's a 25k gift," you stop and take notice.

Greg Pogarsky (Rexford, NY) is the benefactor with the nut straight and Robert Gu (Arlington, VA) is glad to promote Pogarsky's double-up.

After Pogarsky c-bets the flop of 4 5 K, he leads again when a 6 hits the turn. Toby Kassler (New York, NY) goes into the tank when Pogarsky 4-bets to 7k and eventually calls.

"He was talking like he had a set," says Pogarsky.

The river is a brick and Pogarsky jams a pot size bet of 17k and Kassler reluctantly calls.  Pogarsky turns over 7♠ 8♠ for the nuts, the 8-high straight.

"He (Kassler) says he had two pairs, but didn't show," who marvels at how Pogarsky gets the "gift."

Pogarsky is now at 50k as Level 3 (75/150) is underway.
