David Eilers held the chip lead for most of the day, except for short periods at the final table. He was also the top Bounty Hunter, collecting more Black Chips than anyone else.
It was late when they finally finished and everyone was anxious to get to bed. David owns a BBQ Restaurant back home and has to get back to work, but is hoping to get his wife to cover for him so he can stay and play the $500 + $60 Big Stack NLH event later today. If not, he'll try to be back for the Championship event.
"Borgata runs the best tournaments in the country, by far" David said.
In addition to the prize money and shiny Borgata Summer Poker Open trophy, David will also receive a 16x20 framed photo of himself, taken by professional photographer Eric Harkins of Image Masters.
