Event 19: Wolf Walks Away

Larry Wolf's (Annapolis, MD) Summer Open run has come to an end, in a most horrific way.

His pocket Aces were out-flopped by an opponent holding pocket 7s.  But not only did a 7 hit the flop, another 7 hit the turn giving his opponent quads.  Then a useless Ace came on the river, adding salt to Larry's wound.  He's out of this event and done for the series.

He had a couple of deep runs earlier.  He finished 13th of 267 entries in event 3 ($500 Big Stack NLH) for $1,424 and finished 44th of 641 entries in event 17 ($200 Deep Stack NLH) for $547.

"I used to be a good poker player"  Larry said.  There's just nothing you can do when the cards don't cooperate.
